Since I'm a cheap sob and I already had a couple of fender covers and they tended to slide off...my solution was to use the remnants of my wifes foam type cabinet liners.
I cut the grippy cabinet liner into squares then turned the the fender covers upside down. I then sprayed 3M 90 onto the fender covers and onto one side of the liner, let it tack up then resprayed, let it tack up then placed the liner squares onto the cover. Let it all dry up.
They do not slide off now and they don't mar the finish...
I could care less if my fender covers said Ford, Cobra, or whatever as it is one of mine says Craftsman and the other says NAPA(it was a freebie).
