John, I was talking to the builders son. He said that most organizations will allow it to compete as a vintage race car. It can also be made street legal by the buyer.
I'd say mostly, they have that disclaimer because they sure don't want to be tied to it if someone races and is injured or killed. "If you want to drive it, that's your deal" sort of thing.
