I rebuilt my side oiler for about $4K including machine shop work and custom pistons. I did the labor myself, it was more of a 'freshen up' as opposed to a serious 'from scratch' rebuild which might require extensive machine shop work in some cases. Thus, a protentially 'big dollar' build.
VERY satisfied running an 'original' side oiler complete with iron 1964 High Riser heads. But hey, thats just what I wanted to do.

I thought John was interested in the cost of a new complete Shelby engine. Thus, I provided Roush estimates and then commented on having the engine built by someone other than Roush.
