My guess is that the amount of oil falling off of the lifters would pale in comparison to the oil flowing out the side of the rod bearings. After all the solid lifter FE engines had no oil ported to the lifters, and they lived on the oil slung off the rod bearings.

If memory serves me correctly, all the SB Chevy top end oil drains down the valley and dropps through the center of the engine into the crankcase. I would think this is a non-issue.
