Socketed type like on GM trucks. The relay is plugged into a socket that has the wires mounted on crimps that lock in the base. Sounds like you have a version of this.

Studies show that this type of relay lasts the longest in high vibration and adverse conditions. Usually needs a hold down if in a fuse & relay cluster.

There are the industrial types that mount on a rail, trouble is those may fall out of the rail if you hit bumps.
