Of course there is nothing 'correct' about Team Stripes on a 427 Cobra anyway, do your own thing.

But what about that 'left hand fender' (guard for those down under, I guess)? The Team Stripes were for easier identification of the car during a race. What SIDE of the car the stripes were on would logically depend on where the PITS were located!

Counter clockwise course with the pits in the center of the track, left hand side. With pits on the outside of the track, right hand side!

By the way, I VERY much prefer two stripes of the same width on a single fender (left hand or DRIVERS side in my case) for the best look. Sometimes I just goof around and try other combinations for fun.
