When I bought and repaired a 'totaled' Dodge from an insurance company the car had to have a special inspection by a State certified specialist in order to relicense it. Guess who those 'specialists' work for? BODY SHOPS! Unless THAT body shop did the repair they would not inspect the car.

Well I finally found someone but it was like digging through a trash can to dredge him up and it COST me plenty for him to 'kick the tires' and thats about ALL he did! Having a total 'inspected' by such a certified inspector is certainly no gaurentee the car is 'right'.

...all though my Dodge was retored nicley and done right (I made a killing on the resale even with the reduced "Salvage Title" value).
