Jimi, This enquiry from across the pond in Australia. Here's my problem.

I own a TKO 600 (model 4617, Ford) which was behind a Windsor. It has the standard (unshortened) input shaft.

Sadly in Australia the authorities are tough on emissions which forces many of us to use the GM Ls engines.

Is there a way the TK600 (model 4617) be fitted behind a GM Ls series engine?.

Is it feasable to replace the 4617 input shaft and machine the bearing retainer and end up with a 4618 GM version of the TK600?. I do understand the gearcase bolt pattern would still be ford.

If the above is possible is there a bellhousing available to fit this trans behind the GM Ls engine?. If so, is there enough meat on that bellhousing to redrill for the ford bolt pattern?

If all the above is good how much is that bellhousing with shipping to Australia?.

Cheers and thanks in advance
