The warmer the
oil the better it will flow though the filter, less
oil will go over the bypass. The
oil goes into the filter element on the outside and out the middle. If you look over old threads there is one in particular where this member went through several performance prepared engines because he had the filter plumbed in reverse and was fighting the system check valve. The one I'm waiting for is a dual filtert in parrallel but not in series . I'm satisfied with the cleanliness not the volume.
