Thanks for the input everyone.
I adjusted my pedal and slave cylinder to allow about 3/8" travel of the throwout bearing. I got my car on the road last weekend and so far the clutch is doing pretty good. I also replaced the inner spring in the master clutch reservoir with a new one that is about 3/4 the length of the cylinder. My theory is this spring pushes the internal piston all the way back past the fluid input hole from the master reservoir. My two older springs were not quite as long as this one. Time will tell. The clutch is still a little stiff but much a lot smoother than before.
Thanks for all the suggestions, etc. I hope these clutch problems are now behind me?
Mike
