The original chassis with the Ford IRS had mounts for the original Ford sway bar. This was subsequently removed from the latter chassis because the rear bar induces too much oversteer into the vehicle. - Not good in a vehicle with such a short wheelbase! This is especially so if the road is even slightly damp, & very tricky if wet! All to easy to swap ends. Most customers who had the rear bar fitted found the handling much more predictable when it was removed.
The race chassis are fitted with a rear bar, however they are also fitted with a much larger than standard front bar to restore the balance.
