Zaino does an excellent job of hiding scratches. You just have to have the patience to layer it (multiple coats) to get true, outstanding results. If you are in a pinch for time, Meguirs and Mothers both sell glazes that will do the job quite well. Just make sure you follow up with carnuaba wax, as the glaze will evaporate fairly quickly on its own. Also, use nothing else but either fine microfibre towels or 100% "USA cotton" bath towels. Rip out the borders/seams and they work awesome.

If you need to clean the paint, then use a clay bar first (Meguirs Gold does a great job), followed by a very mild polish. You get better results with a Porter Cable random orbit polisher and the correct foam pad(s).
