Thanks for the look, folks. My new West Coast kit has a taller hood scoop to accommodate the larger engine I'm putting into it. It is OPEN on the window side and I'm wondering if anyone knows how the airflow through the scoop will affect intake air flow. I'm considering closing the scoop there if it makes sense. The builder says the windowside opening will aid in engine compartment temperature control...I've been reading forum posts on hood scoop function and it's pretty confusing! I think the consensus is that the opening ought to be at the window ONLY for the high pressure benefit there
