Thanks to information from the Internet I finally received information on registration of an "ASSEMBLED AUTOMOBILE?TRUCK" in Michigan.

Basically you need the Vehicle Identification Number of the donor on the Biil of Sale. Upon inspection the engine, the transmission, and the real axle must have the VIN Numbers on the Bills of Sale and match on the ID stamps on each.

As a result of an accident April 5, 2007 I have acquired a donor pick-up truck for parts for my F-150. The decision to buy a whole truck versus only the parts I needed to fix my truck was driven by these stipulations. I now hava titled vehicle with a 5.0L engine and a 9 inch rear-end, all matching numbers. Other miscellaneous parts will find their way into my Cobra that I am building from scratch.
