State farm seems to be all over the map, everyone having a different experience on rates and policy restrictions. I was with State Farm for over twenty years until I needed to insure the Cobra and was told they had a limit of 35k on the value of a replica, which was too low for me. I was with ANPAC for the first year, and their "chrome" policy was very good and reasonably priced, but the second year they did away with their agent system, and I wanted an agent rather than deal with the company directly, so I switched to Midwest Classic, mentioned by rsimoes above. Great service from Robbin Terry, everything done via email, fax, and phone. He only insures speciality vehicles like ours, hot rods, customs, etc. He knows his stuff, and our stuff. Rates were very good with the usual restrictions, ie: 5000 miles per year, no regular daily driving to work, pleasure driving and cruising ok.

When I was shopping for insurance it became apparent that policies seemed to vary greatly depending on several factors, such as location, agent, driver's record, things like that. Members here post about having insurance with companies that told me they won't insure a Cobra replica. No particular reason given, just company policy, yet other Cobra owners have their insurance with those same companies. I wasted a lot of time hearing that until I talked to Robbin Terry. My advice, bottom line, is don't waste time talking to agents or clerks who don't know or care what a Cobra replica is.
