Not to quibble Bernie but those would have been computer scientists not enviromental scientists. Different animal.

This is a great point. There seems to be a greater emphasis on arguing that "we" are not to blame than on understanding what is going on with our climate. It is a very complex process, but the fact that our climate is changing is obvious. It doesn't matter what portion is due to human activity, it matters that we accept that it is happening and that we might be able to do something about it.
