I was always amazed that the GOP didn't fix this mess when they had the chance. I also think it is interesting that I do not know a single person who is in favour of amnesty in any form. This includes people who are Democrats, Republicans, and not associated with any party.

This seems to be shaping up to be another sort of litmus test for candidates, and I think it will play a big role in the election for President. This could actually cause the Dems to not win the Presidential election.
