You must have too much time on your hands....there was a scratch built cowl induction hood here on the site about 6-8 months ago. Looked really slick. Look in Morris' gallery, about page 5

Also on the Hurricane Motorsports website under owners forum/public area, look up the build pictures for Alfredo's #1045. He has hand built a hood, doors and trunk from aluminum, has some interesting photos of inside and out.
