I saw an ad for Tasmanian Tourism on the tube last night and was reminded what a great place for driving that little island is. I spent a week down there in March and had a ball, albeit in a Commodore (Chebby).
I know there was a lot of enthusiasm initially for the Alice trip but it all seemed too hard for most (I'd still go
). Who would be up for a Tour of Tasmania? Say a week in February or March in 2008, terrorising cyclists (sorry Bernie
) and creating lots of noise.
The trip via boat is a piece of cake, so it's a much easier option than the Alice, unless you live in the Alice like Boxhead
