There's risks involved with everything in life, it's just a matter of degree, and what decision you make being part of it.
That Pro-Mod exhibition burn out was the stupidest, most retarted thing I have ever seen. I cannot believe that out of all the people involved, not one person was smart enough to shoot the idea down for safety. The biggest culprit is the driver. I don't care how great of a human being people say he is, that was the dumbest decision of his life to agree to that. To think that a 2000hp ProMod car doing a burnout down a street is remotely safe, is just unthinkable.
As for comparing this situation to a Cobra doing a burnout, that's pretty comical in it's own right. There is a HUGE difference between a 600hp Cobra doing a burnout and a 2000hp Pro-Mod car doing a burnout. I DO agree that both are dangerous, and lots of things can go wrong when driving a car like a Cobra, but the danger level is definitely WAY lower that that of the Pro-Mod car situation.
