Yokohama Avids are much better than the BFG T/A radials and cheaper to boot. At least that was my experience. Both were 295X50-15 rear tires. Be aware that the 295 Avid tire has about 1 inch more tread width than the 295 T/A. The rear Avids rub slightly on hard corners on my car. I could solve the problem if I would just raise my car by about 1/4 inch. Just haven't got around to it.
