I had mine (abandoned project) shipped from WA on the back of a truck.

I just looked up a transport company that ran Perth-Melb and from depot to depot $715.

The car rolled but had no steering/brakes. The guy who sold it took it to the depot in Perth and they loaded it on with a fork lift.
At this end the depot guys helped me to put it on the car trailer.

Was all quite painless (except when the car took off when being unloaded at my brothers - ran across his garage and crashed into the staircase - but that wouldn't happen to you)
