The biggest deal with the FE is making sure the heads and the intake are perfectly flush with each other....because they make up the valve cover flange. Of course, a lot of this is done at assembly time. If you're trying to make up for a little step up in that area, I put some RTV on the joint and build it up a little if necessary. I've had good luck with the cork gaskets.....and the Felpro rubber gaskets work well too.
