About the side pipes....
I had not listened to advice from ERA and had taken the plastic wrappings off when the car arrived some months ago. When I was told whatever grease spots, marks, dirt I put on the pipes during assembly will end up baking on there when I start the car up I decided to go ahead and Saran Wrap them for rough handling during the install.
Ijust have to remember to take them off before I run the car.

I wish I could take credit for the color being an original. Wayne Turpin's brother's car gave me the inspiration. You like the color because there is plenty of "Red" around the car. Fender covers, tool boxes etc. I did not consider under car exhaust at all. I don't even know if that was available for a 427 car.

We call them "shrink wrapped".Assuming that I will even talk to you guys after the car is drivable!!

I probably will lower the car from the stands and roll it ( or maybe even drive it out) today or tomorrow for some photos out in the sun. I would be glad to put up a few more pictures then.

I definetely am planning on making it to DVSF II.
It was so frustrating being there this year on foot, and knowing that I too had one like it back home. Just about the time I told the Mrs. that I was finished spending money, it is time to start looking for a trailer.
Pipes are "Blister" packed. Pun intended.

I think I'll pass on the garage this year. It doesn't look like I will have the ability to bring the car up this year. Trailer, fine tuning, suspension setting and experience are few of the excuses I have as to why not. I am planning being there myself.
