Having wrestled with the two side pipes better part of an afternoon I couldn't imagine having done that with pipes underneath the car.
Kind a like the looks of the side pipes. They look a lot more menacing this way.

I passed the first test today. Indeed, removed the plastic wrapping and fired her up!. What a sweet sound.
