Yours is an obvious question about companies using
synthetic as initial fill. Check out this link for discussion from those in the business. (Hint: there's no problem with using it)

I have 3 cars and any one of them might only be driven once or twice a month. Not all oils cling to surfaces the same. As best I have been able to determine, ester oils will cling to engine parts like a magnet. So, even if the engine has been sitting for a while, at startup there is still lubricant there. Redline
