Some years ago I went to look at a GT-500 Mustang for sale, (I forget the year, 68 or 69). Turns out it was a 'real' GT-350 but redone into a GT-500, complete with tags and vin and all the right pieces. It just didn't smell right. After a couple of visits and some serious questions I finally got the story from the guy. NICE car, well done, I walked away not being sure WHAT category the car would fit into now. A waste of a good GT-350 I thought...
