Steven C. and I chased each other down hwy 199 this past Saturday to the Crescent City, CA car show. (Cool Northern Nights on the Coast) The ride alone was worth the trip and the weather remained friendly.
I can see why Steve has won so many races. I thought I was the hotshot road racer but I had work real hard and my passenger became more and more whiteknuckled as we tried to stay with Steve down that twisty road.
There were over 150 cars at the show ranging from high dollar rods to military vehicles..An interesting and eclectic bunch of neat cars and trucks.
We were the only Cobras entered and there were people hanging around our cars all day asking questions and taking SOCO fliers.
By the end of the day, Steve and I had won awards in our respective classes.
The plaques were different since they were made of polished marble and weighed a ton (At least to this Geezer)
The chase back to Oregon was even more fun. It was a great day...Wish you were there!
Steve has promised to finalize our SOCO cruise very shortly so stay tuned.
