I designed my brake system based on 13" corvette rotors and 4-piston brembo calipers (dodge viper discards). I run an old-school twin master cylinder balance bar deal, completely manual. I did the math on hydraulic ratio and pedal ratio...and the thing stops better than I ever dreamed it would. Firm/hard pedal, incredible stopping power, great predictable performance. I wouldn't change it one bit.
