ANY speedo shop can handle a custom length
I had a speedo cable that was about 1/2" too short...would work for a couple of months and then slink away from where it should have been...speedo needle would get crazy.
Went to "ye' old local" SPEEDO-GAUGE''S SHOP.
He decided very quickly the cable was too short...had lots of cables hanging in his shop area that already had the flats and collar on one end...got one a little longer in lenght....cut off the excess length and then CRIMPED the other end with a DIE in his bench vise to put the correct # of flats to engage the trans drive gear.
Took about 30 minutes, cost $20.
9000 miles latter it still works great.
I do not think you need a special "top-loader" cable...just a cable the right length.
