Went to Alcapulco years ago. Hopefully it has changed, because it is scary to get off the Malecan, main street on the waterfront. The yacht club is great place, or at least it was.
Spent several months in Puerto Vallarta sailing Frolic, and it was heaven. No poverty, and you can go anywhere you like in town. The bus rides were a hoot too!
