Greg, yes, PIR is a bigger track but also faster. PIR is for big boys like the Main Track at Firebird. The ProAuto guys are racing at the small 1.2mi west track which is quite technical for learning, not as big and you pretty much can't hit anything. PIR corner 1 at the entrance to the infield is notorius as is 7 re-entering the oval. (I think I have the corner number right.) PIR has lots of walls close by. And racing with ProAuto is definately cheaper than the prices you show with renting the entire course. All things the same, I'd rather race at PIR too.

You're probably right. I need to learn more an a slower track with less things to hit. I'll probably end up at both events farting around getting passed. They should be fun. |
