When I did my FFR, I carefully removed what ever body parts that were still good and set them aside. Made the front end and engine removal easier. I also made little dollies that I could roll the thing around on once the rear and front suspension were out. I was amazed at how much I sold off the donor- I paid $1000 for it, parted out $1600 worth of stuff and kept the engine, trans, fuel tank, pedal box, wiring harness, etc.
I wouldn't do it that way again however. I just kept deciding that I didn't want old stuff on my car and replaced most of it.
