Thanks for the thoughts. I think I'm going back to square one and start all over. I am running a restrictor plate, not a t-stat, will switch to a 180 degree t-stat. I am only running h20, will put in a mix (50/50 anti freeze/distilled water). The car only has @ 130 miles on it, was just runninng h20 to make sure there were no leaks. May add a bottle of Wet Water. Running a 16 lb r-cap, that should be OK.
I'm still not sure how to tell if temp switch is off, or if the gauge is that far off.
If it can't resolve it, I will ask Olthoff, will be down there next week to pick up another car.
Sounds like I better pick-up a couple more Lucas switches to be ready
