First, I assume you have a replica Cobra. If the header bar you have is close to what an original Cobra had, there isn't a "middle piece". The header bar folds in half for storage. The 'slack' in the middle is required in order to fit the header bars into the channel on the windshield frame. It is then expanded via the clamps on either side of the windshield frame. |
