I have a new TKO 600 in my car now... I don't/haven't experienced any of the problems/complaints mentioned. 2-3 shift is silky smooth, shifter throw is short and precise at all RPM ranges. 1st gear is sometimes a little stiff but better than any of the gears in my Viper...

I have approx. 500 miles on the car/tranny

I would highly recommend the TKO with it's stock Hurst shifter. Now the earlier TKO's (3550) may be another story...
