As I understand the new TKO 600 is to be driven carefully for the first 500 miles with lower RPM and easy shifts. I've found the recommended lubricants work well. They shift like butter if you break them in properly. I have the shifter that came on the transmission. Be sure the shift lever into the car is bolted tight. Having it loose will cause a delay in movement and produce poor shift results.

Here's a typical 2 to 3 shift @ 6800 rpm with the basic shifter components. Note that it takes a little over a 1/4 second. I wouldn't change it unless someone was able to show me data for a faster shift.
