Thanks folks. That $100,000 is not all. They made money from the rides, London FD and Madison county DARE, the church (the one that lets us use their grounds all weekend) got checks... just not that big! Plus there is the residual value added from the exposure, etc. Our local CBS station ran three or four spots about the cause on the news this past weekend.
FYI, we generally keep LCS revenue and the fund raising for CF 'seperate'. That is, we price LCS to cover the cost of the event, not to make money. The money raised for CF comes from donations, raffle ticket sales, etc. While we really want to help CF in all ways possible, we never thought it was fair to 'force' some one to donate to a specific charity, hence the price structure of LCS registration. But of course, while LCS is going on, we are trying to raise money for CF with the auctions, rides, etc.
