Yeah, it's a tough call with the mirrors.
The mirrors look better in my opinion mounted directly to the body, but they work much, much better if mounted to the windscreen(Raydot only). The extended base Bullet mirrors give the best vision for body mounted mirrors.
Seated height(actually head height) also plays an important factor in visibility through the side mirrors.
The center mirror works very well in a Cobra, so good in fact that I only use the side mirrors for blind spot. Mirrors become a little more important with the top on.
