428 CJ man You might want to check out the FE forumn for info to start. A standard FE motor is 70 pounds lighter than a 460 iron motor. Why do you want a 700 pound anchor in the front of you car. It is easy to make 600 hp with either motor, but Aluminium motor FE will weight 470. A SVO 460 block is about 15 pounds heavier. FE is a smaller engine to fit in a car or truck in the bottom end. Save your money and GO ALUMINIUM. Sell the other motors to restorer builders. Rick L
