Hi - I'm new to the forum - wife and I started building our kit Cobra in 1986 and completed it in 1992 so it's now about 15 years old and in serious need of a rebuild.
Have been ignoring it for three years now whilst building a Lotus 7 replica but plan to get it back on the road during the coming 12 months.
Projects I plan for it are:
1/ New 17" wheels and tyres
2/ Rebuild of suspension to give better handling including lowering to 4", new spring rates, adjustable anti roll bars both ends and A-arm for lower rear end (Jag front and rear suspension)
3/ Fuel injection with home made throttle bodies for 350 Chevy motor.
and new heads on motor - maybe alternative to turbo charge it.
4/ Re-spray in dark maroon with cream stripes to match interior.
5/ Re-build brakes - the brake fluid has vanished somewhere - yet to look for it.
Anyway I look forward to the ideas and help that seems to exist on this forum.
