My visit to the CHP in San Jose lasted all of 10 minutes...I was actually done before my scheduled appt.
They looked through my DMV docs and completed form Reg 124 (a mulit-part form called "Application for Assigned Vehicle Identificiation Number").
The two officers immediately pointed to the SPF VIN plate and chassis number stamped on the front cross bar, and completed the form using my SPF Chassis number as the VIN number.
What "Body Type Model" code should be indicated on the DMV registration? I noticed that mine has "CP". Thought it might be the code for a Coupe when it should be CV.
