Assuming you're talking about the '99+ Lightning (not the '93-94), it's one serious piece of equipment. I drove one a few months ago, and it really is unfair to call it a pickup or even a modern muscle car. It felt to me like a genuine sportscar that just happened to be camoflaged as am F150. The chassis and brakes are just as impressive as the 380 bhp motor. I got to throw the thing around a bit, and was amazed at how nimble, precise and fast it is. Keep in mind that my other car is a '94 rx-7 twin turbo.
It's not quite in Cobra power/weight territory, however. Lightnings are fast, but not THAT fast....
