Wow! Had not been able to log on for a couple days and am overwhelmed with the responses! You guys have some serious light.
My garage is attached with living space above so unfortunately no room for sunlights. I only have 2 windows in the front and widows in the garage doors so I may be limited for natural light. Thanks for the tips on the garage floor and walls. I was planning an epoxy coating. I'll keep the walls a bright white. The garage will be fully insulated and I have a PTAC Airconditioner. With the t-8 bulbs I should be ok with the temperature issues.
I'm going to go with 8 of the t-8 fixtures and compliment them with a 150 watt halogen in each corner as was suggested. Hopefully this will get me through for the short term and I can upgrade later if I need to. Thanks again for the info! I'll post a picture when I get it all together. I've got a ways to go. The roof trusses go on tomorrow!
