also , I think these T56 trannys are a bit notchy and not near as smooth as I am used to. Jack the rear end up and put the car in neutral , see if you have a lot of play when turning the wheeel and tire back and forth as well as play when trying to wobble the wheel, you may have bearing problems. What number is your car?
