During the pre-start checks, I stuck my finger in the differential and felt the
oil level about an inch below the hole. I thought it was supposed to be filled to the hole, like the tranny. So I put some extra 80-90 in to top it off.
Now I'm leaking gear lube heavily from the pinion seal. It is running along the frame and into the cockpit, under the rear cover, slinging up to the top of the tunnel too.
Does this sound like simple overfill? Should I let a little of it out? Or does it sound like a bad pinion seal?
