Jr's grandfather ( Ralph) drove the #8. Thats why Dale Sr. had the number for Dale Jr to use. Jr relies on his sister for just about everything. I believe she even handles almost all of his money dealings. Jr even said in an interview that he cant control his spending so he keeps almost no money on him. Kelly takes care of him completly.
