Ouch Mat. I feel your pain.
If you have to go with an after market crank.

Scat crank snouts are inconsistent. I don't know yet if the crank bolt was not torqued properly or the harmonic balancer was not able to be pulled in tight as it didn't fit properly on the crank. the result was the crank gear cutting through he woodruff key then the cam stopped turning.
I am going to magnaflux the crank to make sure it is not cracked at the snout. I am leaning toward the latter as I have two friends that had the same issue with the snout diameter.
My engine has less than 2000 miles on it. I only laugh to keep from crying.
