To funny. While I think a slap on the face is demeaning, a swat on the rear is a good attention getter. Go back to the good old days of pledge of allegiance, teachers empowered to do their jobs, discipline in the schools and most importanly, two parents that give a $hit.

I remember when I was young, my uncle was heading down the wrong path and was really misbehaving. So, my grandparents sent him to catholic military school... nuns in combat boots with goverment issue steel yard sticks. He straigtened out in no time flat!
