Nope, I'm American, by way of France, England, Scotland and Canada on my dads side, and Germany, England, and the US on my mums side.
Just like you are an American by way of Ireland and who knows where else...
My wife did the final read through/edit and she 'fixed' all of my spelling 'mistakes'.
She does give me a hard time about my proper English spelling every so often, but I return the favour regarding her occasional Bahstan accent (I don't have it - and despite having lived all my life here I can't even imitate it well enough to fool a local).
